Old Nassau Pirates

The old Nassau pirate with wrinkles and scars,
Walked with a limp from the battles and wars.
With a head full of rum and a tune on his lips,
A heart full of sadness from old sunken ships.
He told me the Royals had cheated and stole,
The strength of his youth and the joy from his soul.
He once had a family, moved on he was told,
Cause he took one more voyage in search of more gold.
So where are the pirates and the peaceful home ports
Does anyone know that they've killed all his sort.
The evil elite sail their yachts on the waves,
And the old Nassau pirates have gone to their graves.
The old pirates lifestyle is lost in the past,
Like watered down rum, it all went too fast.
The modern day pirates they wear suits and ties,
And enslave the masses with promises and lies.
They just wanted freedom and to keep what they earned,
But the masters insisted, pay up or get burned.
They increased the taxes, it was never enough,
Til they stole all the freedom, put free men in cuffs.
So where are the pirates and the peaceful home ports?
Does anyone know that they've killed all his sort.
Now the evil elite sail their yachts on the waves,
And the old Nassau pirates have gone to their graves.
They stole all the freedom with taxes and lies.
