The Multitask King

(A tribute to Anna Kay Hendricks)

I was a traveling man, I drifted all around

Just tryin to find, a little piece of ground

Never thought that I would settle down

Until I drifted into Music City town.

In a little church building, that's where we met

She sang like a bird, never missin’ a fret

We fell in love, then we tied the knot

We didn't have much, but we loved a lot.

I watched in awe, as she ran the whole show,

Doin' three things at once, like a multi pro.

Well she used to laugh, at my one track mind

I couldn't keep pace, but she treated me kind.

Well I wish she was here, to see me now

I'm The Multitask King, let me show you how.

I do two things at once, yea all day long

I'm The Multitask King from dusk til dawn.

Yes, I can cry, while I'm outside cutting the grass

I can even cry while fishin' for a bass.

I can cry, while sittin' round watching TV

I can cry, on the front porch swatting at the bees.

I can cry, on a long walk late at night

Or simply when I turn out, the bedroom light.

I can even cry, while taking a drive

I think I deserve, a big high five.

Well I wish she was here to see me now

I'm The Multitask King, let me take a bow.

I do two things at once, all day long

I'm The Multitask King from dusk til dawn,

I can cry, when I'm lounging in the pool

But not around the kids, I gotta play it cool.

I can cry when I remember how she sang

Summertime and winter, fall and spring.

I do so many things, I could make you proud

I can miss you babe, while I'm singin' out loud.

I wish you were here to see me cry

I'll miss you my love, every day til I die.

Well I wish you were here, to hear me scream!

At the top of my lungs, I'm The Multi-task King!

I do two things at once, all day long

I'm The Multi-task King from dusk until dawn.

Yeah, I'm the Multitask King…
