“Moonlight Took Me”

I was driftin’ through taverns and shadows and lies,
With the salt on me skin and the wind in me sighs,
Dancin’ with devils, kissin’ regrets,
Livin’ for rum and forgettin’ what’s next.

Then came a night, with no warning nor chart,
When I looked in the eyes of a man with no heart—
Or so they had said, in whispers and fear…
But the devil wore kindness when Blackbeard drew near.
And the moonlight took me, across the dark tide,
Where his voice was a storm, but his hand was a guide.
He said, “Come aboard, love, we’ll sail for the stars.”
Now I’m lost in his world, and he’s stolen my heart.
The sea rolled like velvet, the sails were aglow,
With music and starlight and secrets below.
He let me take helm with a wink and a smile,
And we drifted through dreams for a spell and a while.

He never once flinched at the fire in me soul,
Just poured in his warmth, till I started to glow.
He’s a pirate, a rogue—but with honor and grace,
And I melted like wax at the touch of his face.
Yes, the moonlight took me, where angels don’t dare,
Where the waves wrote a vow in the cool midnight air.
He said, “Stay aboard, love, don’t run from this part.”
Now I sail with the demon who’s mastered my heart.
They warned me, they told me, “That man is a curse!”
But he calmed every storm, every scar, every verse.
He speaks like a poem, fights like a flame—
Yet he asked for me name… and he gave me his name.
So let the sea take us, where no maps are drawn,
With me head on his chest till the breaking of dawn.
For I once was adrift, but he anchored my soul—
Now I’m Blackbeard’s lady, with a heart fully whole.
